Malcom Gladwell for President
I was talking with my friend Edward about SUVs and their horrible safety record.)
He explains why Bush's Terrorist Threat Integration Center is a case of creeping determinism (and maybe not a good idea).
He asks why we don't hold our government more accountable for how it respons to unnatural disasters.
I remember reading his article years ago about why job interviews aren't as useful as we think.
And maybe Talent doesn't matter as much as I think.
Oh, and Group Think isn't necessarily a bad thing.
In short, Gladwell constantly shows us that the way we think the world works isn't the way the world really works. He's not satisfied with the sound bite answer (Flat Tax! Office of Homeland Security!).
He sounds like a perfect president to me.
