The Pew Global Attitudes project asked “Suppose a young person who wanted to leave this country asked you to recommend where to go to lead a good life - what country would you recommend?” For many countries, the top answer was Australia. Only India rated the US the top answer.
I think that's bad news for the US and not just for geopolitical reasons. I think immigration is a big driver to the economy. Australia's economy may be booming in the future.
