The quota increase is old news by now, but how they seem to be doing it is interesting. I logged in this morning and my quota said 1423 MB. I refreshed a couple of times and it said 1424 MB. Instead of immediately bumping everyone up to 2 GB, they are doing it slowly!
I wonder if they have some way adding quota as they bring more disk space one line. Regardless, it demonstrates how advanced Google's provisioning really is.
